“AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE"

Updated: Nov 24, 2021

Commuter titanium bike

When Jens asked us about the possibility of building a bike with only one coaster brake and a belt transmission, at the beginning we were a little bit skeptical, but then we saw an opportunity of letting bloom our love for simplicity, which gave Nua its name (“Naked” in Catalan).

We designed a classic style frame, around the best coaster braking hub out there these days, a Shimano CB-E110. And we complemented it with a titanium fork segmented style.

We share the slogan “as less as possible” with Jens, and it became very much radical when we decided not to include even the hole for a caliper rim brake in the fork, being dismissed any option of adding a front brake. For the cockpit we built a minimalist combo that includes handlebar, stem and spacers.

And the cherry of the cake, a beautiful bronze stem cap with our logo, turned by the great Osob from Portugal.

In short, as “less but better” (thanks Dieter Rams) bicycle, super stylish and super funny to ride.
