Today we bring you this Special Project that we built for Marco, in Switzerland. We are very proud of it.
Marco wanted a robust, functional and zero-maintenance bike, but with track bike aesthetics and behavior.
As you can see, the first thing that stands out is the geometry of its frame, very aggressive, with that top tube with inverted sloping, some super dropped seat stays, and geo angles that, together with its barely 9Kg weight, make it very agile and fun in the city.
This bike is made to thrill, both to look at and to ride.
As for the equipment, you will see that we installed quite special components.
To get started, we hand-laced the wheels with some high profile DT Swiss RR551 rims, a cool White Industries front hub, and an awesome instant engagement - zero free play - and totally silent rear hub from our friends at Kappstein.
Another special element was the use of some cranks from Appleman in the USA. These cranks are fully modular, very well made and quite cool, and let us to work with Gates Carbondrive sprocket thanks to a 130 BCD 5 arms spider and the correct belt center line.
You will see this Nua Track bike is almost all made from Titanium, with some leather touch, giving the bike a sporty but elegant look.
Hope you liked it! Due to the high number of orders, we have less and less time for this type of Special Projects, which require a greater investment of our resources, but we still accept a commission of this type from time to time, since we love working on them.
Marco sent us the first feedback:
“...Oh - the bike is amazing! Thank you very much for the great work and the marvelous suggestions about the components!
I have been using it almost daily and received several compliments - it looks very cool. I will make some pics and send it to you soon…”
We hope you liked this Nua as much as we did building it. Until next time!
