Some bikes just stay with you. Ricardo’s Nua Roure is one of them — a build that captured attention the moment it left our workshop and remains one of our all-time favourites.

With its bold red highlights and custom Nua Volare foldable front rack, this Roure is as functional as it is beautiful — a perfect balance between rugged adventure capability and refined titanium craftsmanship.

Every detail tells a story: the precision of the Pinion P1.18 gearbox, the silent efficiency of the Gates Carbon Drive, and the warm contrast of Berthoud leather against brushed titanium. Paired with Hope’s red anodized components, a SON dynamo lighting system, and our titanium finishing touches, this build captures the essence of what we love most — timeless design built for a lifetime of riding.

The Nua Volare front rack is as clever as it is practical. It transforms effortlessly from a wide, porteur-style platform into a compact front pannier rack, adapting to whatever you need to carry.

Thanks to its simple fixing system — just one screw per wing — it sits solidly and silently, free of vibrations. Folded, it keeps the bike narrow and easy to navigate in tight city streets, while still ready for longer adventures when more carrying capacity is needed.

At the heart of Ricardo’s Roure sits the Pinion P1.18 gearbox — 18 perfectly spaced gears housed in a sealed, maintenance-free unit. With an impressive 636% gear range, it offers effortless climbing and confident control on fast descents, all with the quiet precision and long-term reliability that define every Nua build.

The Hope Tech 4 E4 brakes deliver strong, reliable stopping power with great modulation and control. Beautifully made and finished in red, they perfectly match the Roure’s character.

The SON dynamo hub powers the integrated lighting system on Ricardo’s Roure — with a front light mounted on the Volare rack and a rear light on the back rack. The cables run neatly inside the rack tubes, keeping everything clean, protected, and always ready for night rides.

At the back, a Hope rear hub provides smooth, reliable performance and is used in our in-house built wheels, paired with DT Swiss XM521 rims and Sapim Strong spokes for strength, durability, and long-lasting precision.

Ricardo’s Roure is built for endless adventure, and the frame and fork are ready for it — with mounts for a top tube bag, three bottle cages, 3-pack mounts on each seatstay, and another set on each fork blade. Wherever the road (or trail) leads, there’s always room to carry what matters most.

Rolling on Schwalbe Smart Sam Addix Raceguard 650bx65mm tires and using our Nua ToroLoco handlebar, this Roure is built for true adventure. The ToroLoco’s integrated horns offer multiple hand positions for comfort and control, making it as capable on long expeditions as it is on everyday rides.

Ricardo liked his Nua Roure so much that he eventually came back for another — this time, a Nua Terra Pinion Smart.Shift, which we will be happy to share with you in the near future.
