REALLY A SPECIAL BIKE, QUITE IMPRESSIVE IN REAL LIFE
Updated: Mar 15
Thomas had been dreaming of a titanium bike with Pinion for a long time, and when he found us he was fascinated by our work. He was particularly interested in our frames being tailor-made for the customer, so he decided to order a bike from us.
We started configuring together in our web’s builder, our flat bar all-road Nua Luna with a Pinion C1.12 gearbox, all integrated light system ( composed of SON front hub and Supernova lights) and all the titanium kit (handlebar, stem and seatpost). He chose red hubs, headset (Chris King) and seatpost clamp (Tune) which gives the bike an interesting sporting touch, that we complete with details like shifter cable housing caps and other little things.
Thomas wanted some components out of our standard offer, like Magura MT5 brakes (tuned with 1 - Finger HC levers and the red piston rings), a wonderful Tubus Hebie Wingee mudguards with integrated read rack, a side kickstand (for which for we’ve included a support in the frame) and an extra rear axle to carry a kid trailer (a Robert Axle KID214).
When the project was quite advanced, Thomas wrote telling that he had bought a pear of Hope brake rotors with a red spider and red bolts, and red tubeless valves from Chris King, thinking of including them in the project. So he sent us the stuff to mount in the bike, becoming the icing on the cake.
Really a special bike, quite impressive in real life (as always happens, even a good picture doesn’t make it justice)
